The New York City Urban Fellows Program is sponsored by the City of New York. The program is designed to introduce America's finest college students and graduates to local government and public service. It is a nine month fellowship that provides recipients an opportunity to work in government or city agencies. The program provides a nine-month stipend of over $31,000 and health insurance coverage (not including dental or vision). Applicants do not have to be U.S. citizens but must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States. There are around 25 fellowships awarded each year.

Award / Eligibility Details:

The program is designed for recent college graduates. Eligibility is based on when applicants achieve their undergraduate (BA, BS) degree from a four-year college. Details on eligibility can be found at https://www1.nyc.gov/site/dcas/employment/urban-fellows-eligibility-requirements.page.
