Transfer Students
Welcome to Baruch College!
Our transfer students are an integral part of our Baruch community. We’re excited to welcome you to the Bearcat family. Whether you’re transferring from CUNY, SUNY, or beyond, we are here to support your transition and help you get connected, get involved, and succeed at Baruch.
Through programs like Orientation, the Transfer Student Network, Fall Convocation, programming throughout the year, the Office of New Student Programs helps you navigate the transition, build connections, and quickly find your place at Baruch.
Transfer Student Network
All incoming transfer students are paired with a Peer Mentor through the Transfer Student Network. Our Peer Mentors are upper-class students who chose to get involved to give back to the Baruch community and help incoming students make a smooth transition. They are trained to support the unique needs of transfer students and understand what it takes to get started at Baruch.
Your Peer Mentor can help you with:
- Navigating your schedule and academic expectations
- Getting connected to campus resources
- Exploring opportunities to get involved
- Sharing tips for academic success
- Finding your place at Baruch
National Transfer Student Week
The National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) organized National Transfer Student Week (NTSW) on an annual basis during the third week of October as a way to celebrate transfer students. Baruch College sponsors various events during NTSW to highlight the achievements of our transfer students. We will also use this week to showcase the support and resources we offer our transfer students.
