    New Student Orientation

    New Student Orientation

    Welcome to Baruch College!

We are thrilled to have you join our vibrant community.  Your Orientation Day is the start of an incredible journey where you’ll explore campus, make meaningful connections, and prepare to achieve your academic and personal goals.

Baruch’s Orientation Experience is required for all new students.

    How to Register for Orientation

Registration for Fall 2025 Orientation opens on April 24 for First Year Students and on June 20 for Transfer Students.

Log in to Navigate Student mobile app or desktop version using your CUNY Login (First.Last##). (The first time that you log in, you will be prompted to fill out a questionnaire.)

    1. Go to “Schedule an Appointment”.
      1. In the app, click “Appointments” and then “Schedule an Appointment”.
      2. In the desktop version, just click “Schedule an Appointment”.
    2. Select your appointment type.
    3. Choose from available days/times and schedule your appointment.

First year students must complete the Pre-Orientation Survey to be invited to Orientation.

The Pre-Orientation Survey will be sent to your Baruchmail account once your commitment deposit has been received or waived, and your Math and English placements have been determined.  Make sure you complete any necessary Math or English placement exams as soon as possible.

    Course Registration

    First-year Students

Incoming first year students are registered for their first semester courses by the New Student Programs Office.  Your schedule will be thoughtfully created based on your incoming credits, intended major, your Math and English placements, and your responses on the Pre-Orientation Survey.  Please allow us time to complete the registration process; we are working diligently to complete enrollment for all incoming first year students by the start of the fall term.  Note that failure to attend Orientation may result in being dropped from your classes.

    Transfer Students

Transfer students can register for courses on their own, once assigned an enrollment appointment. Enrollment appointments are assigned as your transfer credit evaluations are processed and you have valid Math and English placements. Be sure to complete any necessary placement exams and to submit all your important documents to Admissions as soon as possible.
