FOOD ACCESS

Through the Petrie and Friedlander Foundations, Baruch College is able to offer students who face food insecurity the following resources:

Grab & Go Bags
Grab & Go logoIn an effort to provide students who are facing immediate hunger from food insecurity (have not eaten for an extended period of time, experiencing dizziness or dehydration from lack of eating, skipped recent meals out of lack of funds, etc.) can visit any of the following offices to receive a “Grab & Go” bag. These bags include a breakfast, lunch and dinner and are designed to provide a student with nutrition to get through a day.

Request a Grab & Go bag at one of the following offices:
Office of the Dean of Students (NVC 3-175)
            Health & Wellness (NVC 3-241)
Office of Student Life (NVC 2-210)

Hot Lunch To Go
Students in need of access to food are also able to sign up for bi-weekly hot lunches. These lunches provide students with the chance to either fill up a ‘to go’ container with a hot meal on their way to their next commitment, or sit and enjoy the meal with their peers. When available, participants will be provided with a care package of food and accompanying recipes to take home.

Students must RSVP for the meals in advance and can do so by contacting the Office of the Dean of Students (NVC 3-175) to request an invitation.
