Violet Gitman began her work in Mental Health Counseling in 2015 when she began the Master's in Mental Health Counseling program at Baruch College. Prior to attending graduate school, Violet had a career in residential Real Estate spanning over a decade. Graduating in 2017, Violet has accumulated a specialized certification in working with the eating disorder population as well as experience treating these individuals at varying levels of care. Violet also obtained experience working with adolescents in a school setting, EAP work with Aetna and most recently began her private practice where she treats clients with varying backgrounds at an outpatient level. Violet began her teaching career in 2019 as an Adjunct Professor in the MMHC program at Baruch College and this year advanced to a Substitute Lecturer position where she is able to help guide and mold future therapists through her continued clinical work and expertise.
