I'm an Assistant Professor of Information Systems in the Paul H. Chook Department of Information Systems and Statistics at Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business. Prior to joining Baruch, I served as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from Fall 2021 to Summer 2022. I received my Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before coming to the States for graduate studies, I worked as a Statistician in the Biometric branch of the National Cancer Center in South Korea. Also, I obtained my Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and a minor in Economics from Ewha Womans University in South Korea.
My research interest is in evaluating the difference between two spatiotemporal random fields. I’m developing multiple test procedures to detect the local differences in the features of two spatiotemporal random fields. I am also interested in spatiotemporal modeling, functional data analysis, extreme value modeling, and high-dimensional data analysis.
