Provost Staff recognition award for "Team Collaboration and Connection" 2025-05-27Provost Essig gives out staff recognition awards every year in May, and this year our Brightspace workshop team received an award for "Team Collaboration and Connection" in recognition of our work helping faculty to implement Brightspace! This award is for the entire workshop team, including everyone who put together workshop materials, provided support on workshops, and took walk-ins during open office hours. An especially huge shout-out goes to James, Cathy, Pamela, and Shiraz for all the work they did writing up instructions back when we were all trying to learn Brightspace from scratch in Fall 2023. The main spirit of the award is for collaboration across units, and it's well deserved. We were able to reach more than 500 faculty members thanks to the efforts of the Educational Technology team, Center for Teaching and Learning, BCTC, Library (thanks Letitia!), and Faculty Services. We should also be proud of how much we were able to connect with adjunct faculty thanks to Norene's efforts (with another thanks to Cathy for regularly joining Norene's Adjunct Open Office Hours to field Brightspace Questions).
