Antonietta D’Amelio is a full-time Lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages and Comparative Literature, where she teaches Italian language courses from the elementary through advanced levels, as well as comparative literature courses centered on Italian cinema, culture, and the Italian American experience, in both face-to-face and hybrid formats. Her research interests include Italian literature and cinema, foreign language pedagogy, and second language acquisition. In addition to serving as Italian language coordinator and advisor, she has led numerous workshops and presented at conferences on technology-enhanced language learning and best practices for distance education. In recognition of her teaching excellence, Professor D’Amelio received Baruch’s Presidential Excellence Award for Distinguished Teaching.
