National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship

The Department of Defense offers National Defense Science and Engineering Fellowships to individuals who have demonstrated special aptitude for advanced training in the sciences and engineering. The goal of this program is to increase the number of U.S. citizens and nationals trained in science and engineering disciplines of military importance. The Fellowship offers support for 36 consecutive months including the payment of full tuition and required fees (not including room and board) and fellows receive a living stipend of $30,500 each year. Selection is based on the applicant's academic record, personal statements, recommendations, and GRE scores.

Award / Eligibility Details:

Applicants must be enrolled in their final year of undergraduate studies or have completed no more than the equivalent of one academic year of full-time graduate study in disciplines of interest to the Department of defense. See the NDSEG web pages for the full list of approved disciplines.
