Baruch
alumni and students are invited to join this conversation with Baruch
alumni nonprofit leaders on how to create a pipeline of culturally,
economically, and socially diverse individuals to step into nonprofit
board leadership. The discussion will also focus on educating the next
generation of board leaders, the "Give or Get" challenge, and onboarding
strategies for new board members.
This program will be the third
in a series of events hosted with BoardStrong, an organization
dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations achieve the highest
standards of board leadership, governance and oversight. BoardStrong
provides nonprofit board training, consultation and educational
resources, and hosts an online recruitment platform, open to Baruch
alumni, that helps nonprofit organizations find talented board
candidates from outside their networks. BoardStrong is a subsidiary of
the New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON).
