Accountancy BBA (Analytics Track) Career Infused Degree Map
This track combines essential accounting principles with modern data analysis skills. Students develop a solid grounding in financial reporting, auditing, and taxation, while also learning data analytics, visualization, and business intelligence tools. Graduates are prepared to interpret complex financial information, inform strategic decisions, and enhance performance in today’s data-driven business landscape.

Students who have been admitted to the following programs at Baruch and declared an intended BBA plan, are eligible to be admitted into the Zicklin BBA program.
- Macaulay honors
- Baruch scholars
- Provost scholars (transfer students and current Baruch students)
- Inquiry scholars
- Dean’s scholars
Students need to satisfy all of the following criteria:
- Completion of 4 pre-business courses with a minimum 2.25 average GPA
- ACC 2101 Principles of Accounting
- ECO 1001 Microeconomics
- ECO 1002 Macroeconomics
- STA 2000 Business Statistics I
- Completion of at least 30 credits with an overall Baruch GPA of 2.25 or higher
Students who do not meet the GPA requirement in the early entry path have the option of choosing the regular entry path.
Students need to satisfy all of the following criteria:
- Completion of COM 2020 Introduction to Business Communication and ENG 2150 Writing II
- Completion of 7 pre-business courses with a minimum 2.25 average GPA
- ACC 2101 Principles of Accounting
- CIS 2200 Introduction to Information Systems and Technologies
- ECO 1001 Microeconomics
- ECO 1002 Macroeconomics
- ENG 2100 Writing I
- LAW 1101 Fundamentals of Business Law
- STA 2000 Business Statistics I
- Completion of at least 45 credits with an overall Baruch GPA of 2.25 or higher

Accountants collect, maintain, and analyze financial records for organizations and compile reports for the use of managers, investors, creditors, regulators, and tax authorities. The 120 credit Accountancy major prepares students for many accounting-related jobs, and some roles require a Master’s Degree or 150 credit Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. CPA’s must pass a national exam and meet additional requirements.
