Baruch Computing and Technology Center (BCTC)
Instructional Design Consultation
The InTech team is available for consultation regarding pedagogical
and course design issues related to technology integration.
Our goal is to strengthen the teaching and learning environment
through the integration of appropriate technology tools.
We focus on two major areas:
Teaching with Technology
No one tool is ideal for all instructional situations. We
work along with faculty to review the technology available,
and select the best fit given the specifics of the situation.
We work one on one with faculty members to analyze the various
choices available, and identify the most appropriate teaching
tool.
Instructional Strategies and Pedagogy
Our team is available to work with faculty in identifying
instructional strategies that fit the specific learning goals
of your course. Working together, we can design activities
and information that support student learning and objectives
. Some of these instructional strategies could include:
Case-based teaching
Cooperative learning
Anchored instruction
Learning environments
In addition, if you have a particular concept or lesson you
want to cover and would like to discuss the different ways
you can approach your instruction, please feel free to contact
us.
