Spring 2016 Writing Fellow

Morgan Parker, winner of a 2016 Pushcart Prize and a Cave Canem graduate fellow, is the author of “Other People’s Comfort Keeps Me Up At Night,” selected by Eileen Myles for the 2013 Gatewood Prize. Her second collection, “There Are More Beautiful things than Beyonce,” is forthcoming in February 2017. Morgan received her Bachelor's in Anthropology and Creative Writing from Columbia University and her MFA in Poetry from NYU. She also teaches Creative Writing at Columbia University and co-curates the Poets With Attitude reading series.

On Thursday, April 21st, 2016, Parker led a poetry workshop for Baruch students. She read from her lastest work and students were able to ask her about the writing process, as well as create new work inspired by prompts with feedback.
