GRADUATION ELIGIBILITY

You must file an Application for Degree form with the Registrar's Office by Friday, February 15, 2019 to be eligible to graduate and for your name to appear in the Commencement program. Only an official notification from the Registrar's Office should be accepted as a definitive statement of graduation. Receipt of a commencement letter from Student Life does not signify that you have fulfilled all your academic requirements and does not indicate that you are eligible to graduate.

FILING DEADLINES

The deadline for ordering cap and gown online is Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Please see below for late ordering.

If you missed the online ordering deadline, you can still purchase your cap and gown in person on distribution days (see below). Please fill out the COMMENCEMENT STUDENT ORDER FORM to request tickets (form closes at midnight, May 19th), but know that your order is not complete and your tickets not confirmed until you have purchased your cap and gown. You must go directly to NVC Cafeteria to pay for your cap and gown, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21st and Wednesday, May 22nd, 2019.

TIME & PLACE

Baruch College will hold its 2019 Commencement Exercises on Monday, June 3rd at Barclays Center at 620 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn.

There will be one commencement ceremony at 9:30 a.m., with both undergraduates and graduates at the ceremony. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. and the ceremony will end around Noon.

CAPS & GOWNS

Late ordering: Participants in the Commencement Exercises must wear appropriate academic attire. To order academic attire, start by requesting your guest tickets using the COMMENCEMENT STUDENT ORDER FORM. Then purchase your academic attire in person during one of the Cap & Gown Distribution days (May 21st and May 22nd).

Be sure to indicate which degree you are receiving (Undergrads - BA, BBA or BS; Grads - MA, MBA, MPA, MS, etc.). Measure your height while wearing heels of the same height that you will wear to the exercises. The academic regalia is made with 100% recycled content as part of Baruch’s sustainability initiative.

The entire academic attire is yours to keep. If for any reason you choose not to attend the ceremony, you may make a written request for a refund to thegraduateguy@aol.com by May 1, 2019. (Note: requests for refunds will NOT be honored after Commencement. Any academic attire that is not picked up on the day of Commencement is returned to the manufacturer at the end of the day.)
