§ 1PM-3PM: U.S. Latino Artists Reinterpret the Border. Screening of Alex Rivera’s uplifting documentary The Sixth Section, about the astounding achievements of a community of Mexicans in Upstate New York; panel discussion with Margarita Espada, Artistic Director of Teatro Yerbabruja, and German Jaramillo, Artistic Director of ID Studio NY, who collaborated both with professional actors and new immigrant communities.

§ 3PM-4PM: Networking at TeatroStageFest Lounge.

§ 4PM-6PM: At the Crossroads of a Dream: The Impact of the deferred action status and the DREAM ACT on a new generation of young Americans. Featured speakers present their points of view on the recently approved deferred action status for young “Dreamers” living in the U.S., and highlight the vital roles being played by universities, public institutions and community based organizations in educating and empowering a new generation of Latino leaders.

§ 8PM: Amarillo (Click here for show description of Amarillo). Closing Night performance. (Optional for Conference attendees. Use Special "TSF" Discount above.)

Amarillo is a presentation of Southern Exposure: Performing Arts of Latin America, supported by Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Robert Sterling Clark Foundation.
