Event Description:

Faculty, Staff, and Students, you are invited to attend the President’s Annual Diversity Luncheon
Diversity as a Toolbox for Success: The Evidence

Presented by Aldemaro Romero Jr., PhD

Social justice and the law are the two reasons generally stated for why we should seek diversity in the workplace.  However, there has been growing scientific evidence in the last few years that conclusively supports the contention that diversity, in a broad sense, provides a strategic advantage to human organizations by making them more productive and innovative. This talk will summarize that scientific evidence, from mathematics to the natural and the social sciences, supporting the contention that diversity is indispensable for any organization to thrive while homogeneous organizations tend to fail in the long run.
Held in the Newman Vertical Campus, Room 14-220

Please RSVP here by Wednesday, March 22.
11:45 am – 12:15 pm: Light lunch.
