About the Program:

China experienced extraordinary growth over the last four decades. Today, China’s economy is the second largest in the world. The real estate market played an essential role in this “economic miracle.” Join the NYCIFG@Baruch as we host Dr. Zhang of Shanghai International Studies University for an introduction to China’s real estate market and an explanation of how it has become a key engine of economic growth. He will review the real estate market’s policy reform and development, explore the features of the boom in the early 2000s, and describe how government, households, and firms engage show the deep engagement the market today.

He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His major research interests are corporate finance, Chinese economy and real estate economics.
