Event Description: In light of the current political climate, many treat members of the Republican party with a certain level of disdain. Members of the party, based on their political association alone, are stereotypically labeled. Well, we at the Right Wings would like to offer an alternative narrative to the populace of Baruch College. We would like to hold a tabling session in the main thoroughfare of the College on Thursday, March 29th, whereupon the club would create an respectful, open forum of discussion for the students here at the University. We would allow students to meet with students who may present alternative political narratives and discuss a host of issues that may divide many politically. Hopefully, we may be able to change students minds concerning their attitude towards the Republican party and maybe even convert some to our cause. Ultimately, this tabling will allow students to meet with and discuss a variety of political issues with a member of the conservative party, while providing an effective means to gain broad attention and market our club to the rest of the student populace here on campus. |
