About the Program:

Join NYCIGF@Baruch as we welcome blockchain entrepreneur and former Goldman Sachs investment banker Edward Cotler to campus. Mr. Cotler will provide an introductory review of both blockchain and cryptocurrency while examining the risks and benefits of investing in the emerging digital asset sector. He will explore the ways blockchain technology is currently transforming industries and business models as well as its potential for future disruption and opportunity.

After the presentation, Mr. Cotler will open the floor to an interactive conversation and audience Q&A. 

About the Speaker:

Ed Cotler

Edward Cotler is a corporate finance expert with a career that spans over two decades.He previously worked as an equities program trader and as an asset-backed correlation trader at Merrill Lynch, and as a mortgage derivatives trader at Deutsche Bank. Most recently, he served as Vice President in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs & Co, focusing on new business development for the firm.

Edward is now a strategic advisor and investor in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. His firm Gotham Crypto advises blockchain-based companies worldwide on business strategy, capital raising and facilitating access to key relationships.

Edward earned an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he also serves as a student career advisor.
