George Gershwin International Music Competition aims to discover talent, reward brilliance, and celebrate musical artistry. Starting in 2013 as just the national competition, nowadays Gershwin Competition developed into a full-fledged international classical music/jazz event, welcoming participants of ages 8-36 from over 30 countries around the world. The competition takes place every 2 years in New York, and includes 5 instrumental categories: Piano, Voice, String instruments, Winds/Brass, and Chamber Ensembles.
