A live discussion featuring Sidney Harman Writer-In-Residence, Xiaolu Guo with the Director of the Harman Writer-in-Residence program Esther Allen. This live conversation and q&a will center around Guo's award-winning film; Once Upon a Time Proletarian, Grand Prix de Genève 2011
Xiaolu Guo is an award-winning Chinese-British novelist, memoirist and film-maker, who explores alienation, memory, personal and physical journeys, feminism, translation and transnational identities. She is the author of Nine Continents: A Memoir In and Out of China, recipient of the 2017 National Book Critics Circle Award.
