Event Description:
Independent scholar, journalist and writer, Gary Victor is the most widely read Haitian author of our time. He is pleased to come to Baruch to present a seminar on his works as a reflection of Haitian society. Short video and audio clips will accompany the author in conversation with professors Alessandra Benedicty, Assistant Professor, Department of Interdisciplinary Arts, CCNY and Thomas C. Spear, The Ph.D. Program in French, The Graduate Center; moderated by Dr. Debra Popkin (in English and French), Professor of French and Comparative Literature at Baruch College.
A break between the two parts of the discussion for light refreshments will provide an opportunity to speak with the author.
Presented in cooperation with the NY Metropolitan Chapter of the AATF.
