All Day NeoGeo/Landfill Club Art Exhibition (Multi-Day Event)

FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

The show will open on September 10 and run through December 1 at the New Media Artspace gallery in Baruch’s Library and Information Building, 151 E. 25th Street. While NeoGeo explores the Deep Time of the geologic record, Landfill Club, is a social practice project that "drills up" into future Deep Time.

The New Media Artspace is a teaching exhibition space in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Baruch College, CUNY. Housed in the Newman Library, the New Media Artspace showcases curated experimental media and interdisciplinary artworks by international artists, students, alumni, and faculty. All Day Alpha Kappa Psi - Food Drive (Multi-Day Event)
Alpha Kappa Psi will be holding a food drive to collect canned food that will be donated to City Harvest.
All Day The Landmarks of New York Exhibition (Multi-Day Event)
The Sidney Mishkin Gallery at Baruch College presents 
The Landmarks of New York
November 7 to December 10th.

With 90 black and white photographs, this exhibition documents buildings dating from the 1620s through the 1980s – from the idiosyncratic to the iconic. Among the buildings featured in the exhibition are such recognizable landmarks as the Flatiron Building.

Mounted in conjunction with the publication of the book, The Landmarks of New York, V, by author and curator, Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel, the exhibition spans 400 years of New York City history and celebrates the New York City Landmarks Law.

Gallery hours are:
Monday – Friday, 12 noon – 5 p.m.
Thursdays, 12 noon – 7 p.m.
All exhibitions at the gallery are free and open to the public.

We will have 2 speakers who work in the field of human rights. They are both active within the community of condemning bullying. They will share their experiences of dealing with people who have been bullied in any form and will advise us on how to help.

One of Women In Business' beloved events is back! "Make-Up In The Business Environment," rechristened "Look the Part of a Professional," has always been one of WIB's more popular events leading up to the Annual Style Your Success Charity Fashion Show. WIB partners with innovative freelance make-up artists to provide Baruch students with the opportunity to learn how to showcase their best self, whether at an interview, at work, or after hours. Through an in-depth presentation and tutorials, students will be able to add "professional make-up" to their arsenal of tips and tricks. Refreshments will be served.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Military Competency Workshop
In this 45 minute workshop, Yvette Branson, from the New York Harbor office of Veterans Affairs, will help student and faculty participants to better understand our Veteran population here at Baruch. This presentation will include information about the experiences of Veterans as they transition back into civilian life and how to be a better ally to our Vets on campus.
5:00 PM - 6:30 PM P.A.W.S. Tabling
The PAWS (Peers Advocating for Wellness Services) will have information about health and wellness resources on campus. Stop by to learn about free meditation and yoga sessions, the health center, counseling center, health insurance navigator, and other resources on campus!
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM International Thanksgiving Dinner
This event will be for international students & exchange students who don't have plans for thanksgiving or have never experienced this special day. ISO will host a feast for all international students. We will have turkey ( Kosher and Halal), mashed potatoes with gravy, pumpkin pies, sweet corn. cornbread and many more delicious items. We will have different performances and a short video to describe what the students are thankful for on this special day.
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM Multicultural Dinner
An evening dedicated to the Baruch community / The Seek family. An environment were all bearcats may come together and give thanks for what they have. Food from various cultures will be served, flags from different nations will be hanged, and music from all ethic backgrounds will be played.
