Judy Broadwin was a part of the AP Calculus Program for many years. She was a member of the Test Development Committee at the time the Course Description was being rewritten to reflect the ideas of calculus reform. She served as a reader, table leader and eventually BC Exam Leader for the AP exam. In the six years prior to joining the faculty of Baruch College, she worked as a consultant for the College Board, leading workshops for teachers all over the world. She also was a consultant for Texas Instruments teaching teachers how to use technology to enhance the teaching and learning of mathematics. With George Lenchner, she co-authored the Solutions Manual to AP Calculus Problems from 1982 to 2001.
Her teaching experience includes seven years as a lecturer in the mathematics department of Queens College and many years of teaching AP Calculus at a high school on Long Island. She received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching in 1990 and a Tandy Technology Award in 1996.
Aside from her teaching her students at Baruch College, she also works with the tutors in SACC.
She holds a BS and an MS in Ed from Queens College and a MS from SUNY at Stony Brook in Applied Mathematics.
