One of the country's most distinguished business journalists, Allan Sloan of
Fortune magazine, spent a week on campus recently as the first Ratner Visiting Business Journalist.

Sloan visited the business journalism and covering economics courses and met with the staff of Dollars & Sense (pictured here).

Sloan has won seven Loeb awards (the highest honor in business journalism) in four different categories -- newspapers, magazines, commentary and lifetime -- for five different employers -- The Detroit Free Press, Forbes, Newsday, Newsweek  and Fortune – over four decades.

Sloan is a graduate of Brooklyn College/CUNY.

Gretchen Morgenson, the Pulitzer-Prize-winning reporter and columnist for The New York Times, will be the Ratner fellow in the spring.
