Jayson Harsin, Assistant Professor of Communication Studies, is an expert in the areas of new media and politics; international communication; critical cultural communication studies; political communication; rhetorical studies; communication and sustainable development.  His most recent research focuses on political rumor and the public sphere. Professor Harsin has been published in professional journals and is a member of organizations including the International Communication Association, National Communication Association, and European Communication Research Association. He earned a BA from the University of Kansas, an MA from the University of Illinois and a PHD from Northwestern University.
