Professor Lyness Elected SIOP Fellow
Weissman psychology professor Dr. Karen Lyness, head of the doctoral program in industrial/organizational psychology, was elected a Fellow in the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) this April. Fellowship is considered the Society’s highest honor. This award recognizes distinguished contributions to the field of I/O psychology. Dr. Lyness was honored for her research and its impact.
Her research involves women in executive and managerial roles, the work/life interface of managers, and other issues related to workforce diversity. In 2003 Dr. Lyness received the Sage Lifetime Achievement Award from the Gender and Diversity in Organizations division of the Academy of Management.
