| The Fifth Biennial Rebecca West Conference |

Event Description
The International Rebecca West Society presents “Rebecca West and Power, a conference focusing on the journalism and fiction of a twentieth-century master stylist, including her masterpiece, Black Lamb and Grey Falcon. A series of talks and conversations by Baruch students and West scholars will explore her reporting on Yugoslavia, Germany, and England, with a keynote address, "Rebecca West and the Field of International Relations," by Professor Lene Hansen, University of Copehagen. West's novels, her feminism, and writings on religion will also be the subject of panel discussions. The conference will end on Saturday with a dramatic reading of "That Woman: Rebecca West Remembers," a play written by Baruch faculty member Carl Rollyson, West's great niece Helen Atkinson, and Anne Bobby, who has performed the role in New York and Amsterdam.
