Event Description
Brian Charlson, Vice President for Technology at the Carroll Center for the Blind in Newton, MA, will keynote this exciting conference that brings together employers, community organizations, educational institutions and government agencies to inform and inspire low- and no-vision New Yorkers in the job market. Interactive workshops will explore: Job Search Skills, Employer Best Practices, Employment Success Stories, Entrepreneurship, Technology, Empowerment, (both political and financial), and Mobility New York, relating to city transportation. A highlight of the daylong conference will be an Employer Awards luncheon, hosted by the Placement Consortium, New York State Commission for the Blind and Visually Handicapped, (CBVH). Plus, vendors showing the latest in assistive technology for people with vision loss will be exhibiting all day.
