Event Description
The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) will be holding its second Urban University Mathematics and Computer Science Conference at Baruch College. Born in Ohio in 1925, Louis Stokes played an important role in the quest for civil rights in the United States, first as an attorney and later as a member of the US Congress.

A student poster session will be held for CUNY undergraduates and graduates students who are conducting research in the mathematical and computer sciences.

Remarks will be given by Dr. William Millhiser, Professor of Management and current member of Baruch College's Operations Management group and Dr.William Massey, former Bell Labs Research Scientist and current Professor of Mathematics, Princeton University.

Light lunch will be served. Sponsored by the Provost's Office of Undergraduate Research
