Event Description The Computer Center for Visually Impaired People (CCVIP) presents its 6th Annual Conference on Employment and Visual Impairment: Policy & Practice. Keynote speaker Dr. Judith M. Dixon, Consumer Relations and Braille Development Officer for the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, will identify "21 Apps We Can't Live Without."
Dr. Dixon joins other prominent speakers to discuss how low- and no-vision people can best advance in their careers and achieve life goals using assistive technology and community action. Ten dynamic, interactive workshops cover topics ranging from “Starting One's Business: Lessons Learned" and “Boot Camp on Getting Ready for Employment.” The conference also features awards presentations, demonstrations and a vendors’ expo.
Admission is free but registration is required. Register here or call Blindline toll free at 888-625-1616 from 10AM to 3PM, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
