Event Description The spring 2013 Harman Writer-in-Residence at Baruch College is Hilton Als. Mr. Als is a staff writer for The New Yorker and the author of “The Women,” a meditation on gender, race, and personal identity and “Justin Bond/Jackie Curtis.” Hilton Als’ new book, “White Girls,” will be published by McSweeney’s in 2013.
Before coming to The New Yorker, Mr. Als was a staff writer for the Village Voice and an editor-at-large at Vibe. He has also written articles for The Nation and collaborated on film scripts for “Swoon” and “Looking for Langston.”
