The Tony-nominated and Drama Desk-winning actress who holds the record for the most Broadway performances in a one-woman show (Golda’s Balcony) returns to Baruch Performing Arts Center after originating the lead role in the 2008 play “Irena’s Vow”, which later moved to Broadway when she won the Best Leading Actress in the Theater Fans’ Choice Awards.
In Tovah Out Of Her Mind!, which Ms. Feldshuh will perform at Baruch on March 10, 2013 at 2pm, Tovah sings songs from Gershwin to Judy Collins and performs a gallery of hilarious characters from socialite Muffy Brooke Asthma Alsop on Park Avenue to Grandma Ada in the Bronx.
Tovah Feldshuh has earned 4 Tony nominations for Best Actress and won 4 Drama Desk Awards, 4 Outer Critics Circle Awards, the Obie, the Theatre World Award, the Lucille Lortel Award, and San Diego’s Theatre Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Performance in a Touring Show for Golda’s Balcony.
Tovah has worked a lifetime in the theater, film and television industries (please see her website for a full list of credits at www.tovahfeldshuh.com). But many of us will remember when we fell in love with Tovah Feldshuh in the late 70’s for her portrayal as the Czech freedom fighter Helena in the television mini-series “The Holocaust” for which she received her first Emmy nomination. A life in the entertainment industry followed.
And on October 3, 2004, Golda’s Balcony became the longest-running one-woman show in the history of Broadway
But please come to Baruch Performing Arts Center on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 2pm for a special performance by Ms. Tovah in her one-woman show, TOVAH OUT OF HER MIND! It’s a special show not to be missed.
