Praised as “A rare virtuoso of the Flute” by Libération, flutist Sooyun Kim has established herself as one of the rare flute soloists in the classical music scene. Her performance career began when she was just ten years old after her concerto debut with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and she continues to enjoy a flourishing career performing in world’s most prestigious venues such as, the Lincoln Center, Auditorium du Louvre and the Carnegie Halls. An artist member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, she received numerous international awards and prizes including the Third prize at the 2010 ARD International Music Competition and the Georg Solti Foundation Career Grant.
