Business Minors

The same course cannot be applied to both a student's major and minor.

All students are limited to two minors (any combination of liberal arts minor and business minor). Non-business majors are limited to one business minor.

Business Minors for Business Majors

In addition to the liberal arts minor, official Zicklin majors may choose to pursue a second minor in Zicklin. These minors are available only to Zicklin majors. These minors do not replace the liberal arts minor. Each minor consists of 9-12 credits.

All students are limited to two minors. The only exception is for International Business majors who are required to have a liberal arts minor and functional minor. IB students may have an optional 3rd minor.

Business Minors for Non-Business Majors

Description

Students officially accepted into the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences or the Marxe School of International and Public Affairs who wish to take business courses may do so by declaring a business minor with the Registrar's Office.

Before declaring the business minor, students must complete BUS 2000 (or the former BUS 1000/1011) or BUS 1001. Eligibility to declare such a minor is restricted to students who have an overall GPA of 2.0 or more at the time they declare the minor. To be awarded the minor, students must have a GPA of 2.0 or more in the courses included in the minor. Courses that apply to the minor may not be used for any other requirement.

A business minor does not fulfill the Pathways College Options liberal arts minor requirement.

Required course: BUS 2000 (or formerly BUS 1000/1011) or BUS 1001.

Also keep in mind that most courses in the minors have pre-/co-requisites.
