A private query is simply a query developed by a query manager. Private queries are generally developed when no existing public query is available. Unlike public queries which are available to all query managers and viewers, a private query must be copied to you specifically in order to use it.

The documentation on these public queries included details about private queries including the query's id and title, a description, columns/fields included, records/tables used, the developer, and those the query has been copied to. Any of these queries can be copied to another query manager or viewer by those possessing a copy of the query.
