Carolyn Schurr Levin is an attorney specializing in Media Law and the First Amendment. She has practiced law for over 25 years, including as the Vice President and General Counsel of Ziff Davis Media, the Vice President and General Counsel of Newsday, a Litigation Associate at Corbin Silverman and Sanseverino, and a Litigation Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore. She is admitted to the bars of New York, Connecticut and the District of Columbia.

Levin has taught Media Law & Ethics at Pace University, Long Island University, and Stony Brook University, where she is also the Media Law Adviser for the Stony Brook School of Journalism. At Long Island University, she has served as the Assistant Dean for the School of Visual and Performing Arts, the Director of the Journalism Program and the Faculty Adviser for the student newspaper.

Levin has been an editor and consulting editor for Anton Media Group. As a freelance writer, she has been published in the New York Times Book Review, New York Law Journal, American Bar Association Journal, College Media Review, Student Press Law Center Report, Corporate Counsel newsletter, Barrister magazine, and Special Counsel newsletter. 

Levin earned a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, and a Certificate in Journalism from New York University.
