2017 COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING COMMENCEMENT TICKETS

Students who have not yet picked up their tickets must do so NO LATER THAN 5:00 PM, FRIDAY, MAY 26, 2017. Any tickets that have not been picked up by students will be redistributed to graduates who have been requesting additional tickets.

If you are a graduate seeking additional commencement tickets, distribution of extra tickets will take place at 10am on Wednesday, May 31st in NVC 1-107. Distribution will occur on a first come, first served basis. Please remember to bring a photo ID. If you can not be physically present, you may send a friend or relative with a note authorizing them to receive your additional ticket, along with a photocopy of your ID card. They must also have their own photo ID.

GRADUATION ELIGIBILITY

You must file an Application for Degree form with the Registrar's Office by Wednesday, March 1, 2017 to be eligible to graduate and for your name to appear in the Commencement program. Only an official notification from the Registrar's Office should be accepted as a definitive statement of graduation. Receipt of a commencement letter from Student Life does not signify that you have fulfilled all your academic requirements and does not indicate that you are eligible to graduate.

FILING DEADLINES

All purchasing deadlines have passed. You can now only purchase your cap and gown on the day of Commencement at Barclays Center.

TIME & PLACE

Baruch College will hold its 2017 Commencement Exercises on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Barclays Center at 620 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn.

There will be one commencement ceremony at 9:30 a.m., with both undergraduates and graduates at the ceremony. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. and the ceremony will end around Noon.

CAPS & GOWNS

Participants in the Commencement Exercises must wear appropriate academic attire. If you purchased your cap and gown online, please go to the Office of Student Life (NVC 2-210) before 5 P.M. to pick it up. If you have not yet purchased your cap and gown, you can now only purchase your cap and gown on the day of Commencement at Barclays Center.

The entire academic attire is yours to keep. If for any reason you choose not to attend the ceremony, you may make a written request for a refund to thegraduateguy@aol.com by May 1, 2017. (Note: requests for refunds will NOT be honored after Commencement. Any academic attire that is not picked up on the day of Commencement is returned to the manufacturer at the end of the day.)

Undergrads (Bachelors): $67.00 (includes tax and late fee)
Grads (Masters): $70.00 (includes tax and late fee)

Payment must be in cash or money order made out to Herff Jones.

DISTRIBUTION: If you purchased your cap and gown online, please go to the Office of Student Life (NVC 2-210) before 5:00 P.M. to pick it up.

Photo ID is required. These are the only hours for Cap & Gown Distribution. If you cannot pick up your cap & gown during the above hours, you may have a friend or relative do so with a note authorizing them to receive your academic attire, along with a photocopy of your ID card.

TICKETS

Tickets for admission to the Commencement Exercises are limited to guests of graduates in the academic procession. You reserve your tickets using the Commencement Student Order Form. Each graduate will receive four (4) guest tickets for orders completed by the April 19, 2017 deadline. After the deadline, you may receive a reduced number of tickets. If there are extra tickets after the initial distribution has been completed, these tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis on Wednesday, May 31st, starting at 10:00 a.m.

DISTRIBUTION: If you haven't yet picked up your tickets, please come to the Office of Student Life before 5:00 P.M.

Photo ID is required. If you cannot pick up your tickets during the above hours, follow the procedures described for cap & gown distribution.

2017 LEXICON YEARBOOK

The 2017 Lexicon Yearbook will be distributed to all students who have preordered the book on Tuesday, May 23 and Wednesday, May 24 between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Newman Vertical Campus, Multipurpose Room (1-107). You can order the 2017 Lexicon Yearbook online.
