Wave Hill
Wave Hill is a 28-acre public garden located in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades. The estate was built as a country home in 1843 but was donated to the City of New York in 1960. The mission of Wave Hill is to preserve the magnificent gardens and landscapes and to connect people with nature. There are also educational programs offered at Wave Hill that teach the public about ecology and forestry. The Wave Hill House, Palisades, and many gardens provide great settings for weddings, celebrations, and photographic shoots.
