Reaching Out to the Community: A Day of Pro Bono Consulting for NYC’s Non-Profits
Baruch College Offers Workshops, One-on-One Advisement
The Baruch College Center for Non-Profit Management will hold a day of workshops and individual advisement for the agencies and organizations of New York City’s non-profit sector, focusing on fund-raising, strategic planning, branding and human resources in today’s strained fiscal environment.
This all-day event takes place on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, in Baruch College’s Newman Vertical Campus, 55 Lexington Avenue, 14th floor. All workshops and counseling are free but prior registration is required. To register, call 646.660.6742 or 646.660.6819.
Three 90-minute workshops have been scheduled:
• Financial Tools for Nonprofit Executives and Board Members
• Refining Your Online Strategy
Individual counseling will be available on a broad range of topics, including: Technology for Nonprofits; Volunteer Management; Capacity Building; Executive Coaching; Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprise; Fundraising; Faith Based Organizations; Program Evaluation and Outcomes; Marketing, Design, Branding and Website Development; Donor and Prospect Research; Strategic Planning.
Executives and managers representing more than 100 non-profits including social service providers, community centers, arts organizations, ethnic and cultural associations, et. al., will be participating.
