By Money Magazine
NEW YORK, NY- July 28, 2014 – Baruch College was recently ranked one of the “Best Colleges” for overall value by Money Magazine. Baruch ranks #70 on the list of 665 public and private universities surveyed, and leads the charge for all other senior colleges within the City University of New York system.
For its “Best Colleges” ranking, Money surveyed 665 schools and ranked them on 17 factors in three categories: Quality of Education, Affordability, and Outcomes. With a Net Price of Degree of $134,744, Baruch College received an overall Value Grade/Ranking Score of B+/3.47.
Methodology: Money only ranked colleges that met these four conditions:
- It was a public or not-for-profit four-year college or university.
- It had enough cost, quality and outcomes data available to provide at least moderate confidence in our assessment.
- It was not in financial trouble, as indicated by a below-investment grade rating for its bonds by Moody’s.
- It had a graduation rate at or above the median for its type of school (public or private), or if the rate was below the median, it had a graduation rate at least 25% above what would be expected given the incomes and test scores of its students.
Money Magazine also used data gathered from other resources including PayScale.com and RateMyProfessor.com.
