Baruch College's Small Business Development Center Presents "Managing Your Company's Finances" Seminar

NEW YORK, NY- November 16, 2012 – Careful financial planning is key to the continued growth and success of any small business. On November 28, the Small Business Development Center at Baruch College presents a seminar entitled, “Managing Your Company’s Finances” for owners of start-ups to control costs, improve cash flow and maximize profits.

Mary Anne Holley, a management lecturer in the Zicklin School of Business and Field Mentor for the Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship, will discuss simple, practical methods and tools the business owner can put in place to successfully manage the company finances, from developing budgets, to setting up record-keeping systems, to generating reports. Entrepreneurs will also be introduced to QuickBooks, a business accounting software. This event is free and open to the public.

The Baruch Small Business Development Center and Field Center for Entrepreneurship offer free workshops throughout the year for start-ups and established businesses. These non-credit bearing workshops are taught by established professionals and Field Mentors who serve as faculty at the Zicklin School of Business.
