PSY 3001 - Research Methods in Psychology

Undergraduate | 4 Credits | 6 Hours
This course will familiarize students with major methodological approaches to the study of human behavior. Topics will include qualitative research, survey design, construct and experimental validity, experimentation, and research ethics. These topics will be introduced by way of several student-designed projects conducted over the course of the semester. This is a required course for students who intend to complete a major in Psychology. BBA students must take STA 2000 to meet Zicklin School core curriculum requirements. BA students should take PSY 2100 or BIO 2100, but STA 2000 is accepted.
PreReq: PSY 1001 with a grade of C or higher STA 2000 or PSY 2100 or BIO/ENV 2100 with a grade of C or higher or departmental permission. BBA students must take STA 2000 to meet Zicklin School core curriculum requirements.BA students should take PSY 2100
