This course examines the complexities of managing and leading international nongovernmental organizations (INGOs). Students will gain in-depth knowledge of the INGO landscape, analyze key sector challenges and organizational innovations, and evaluate implications for legitimacy, effectiveness, accountability, and relevance. Through case studies, practical toolkits, frameworks, and thought leadership exercises, the course develops strategic leadership skills while fostering critical thinking and reflection on the opportunities and limitations of INGOs in advancing systemic change.
