This course teaches how organizations leverage prescriptive analytics to recommend optimal actions that achieve business objectives like profits, cost savings, operational efficiencies, and service excellence. Central to the course is a decision-modeling framework, which uses optimization technologies to solve complex business problems with many decision variables, constraints, and tradeoffs. Students will build and interpret decision models related to several business disciplines including operations management, economics, marketing, finance, strategy, and accounting.
