The New York Confucius Institute for Global Finance at Baruch College (NYCIGF@Baruch) offers Chinese language classes, cultural workshops and global finance seminars. We are an extra-curricular, non-degree educational collaboration between Baruch College, Shanghai International Studies University and Hanban, a Chinese Government entity within the Ministry of Education
Mandarin Chinese is the world's most widely spoken native language. Nearly 1 billion people, or almost 15% of the Earth's population, call Mandarin their first language. With new programs begining each semester, you can learn Mandarin at Baruch through the NYCIGF in classes taught by our expert faculty.
NYCIGF@Baruch will welcome Earl Carr, VP for International Research at Momentum Advisors to campus for a program entitled The Impact of the Coronavirus on Global Markets and Beyond. Mr. Carr will explain why the impact of the today's COVID-19 emergency could be drastically different from the 2003 SARS crisis; examine the different considerations of US investor verse their Chinese based counterparts; detail how specific industry sectors could be at greater risk than others. Date: To Be Announced
