The Baruch Geoportal is maintained and hosted by the Geospatial Services Team in the GIS Lab at the Newman Library at Baruch College, City University of New York. Geospatial Services at Baruch are offered within the Library's Graduate Services Division. If you are a CUNY student, faculty, or staff member who has created GIS data as part of your coursework or research, feel free to contact us if you would like us to host your data on this site. The geospatial services team will assist you in processing your data and documenting it according to established metadata standards.

  1. Research consultations for census / demographic data and GIS (by appointment)
  2. The GIS Practicum: day-long introductory GIS workshops using QGIS
  3. Administration of ESRI's Virtual Campus courses; self-paced online tutorials in ArcGIS
  4. Research guides for GIS, Census data, NYC data, and demography
