QGIS Software for Download
The manual was written for QGIS version 23.8 10 (Wien)A Coruna), which is the current Long Term Release version. Because there are enough differences between versions you should download and install 23.8 10 if you are taking the workshop.
- MS Windows users: QGIS 23.8 10 (32 bit) - or - QGIS 23.8 10 (64 bit)
- MAC users (OS X Lion High Sierra and newer): Download and install GDAL Complete 1.11 Frameworks 1st, Matplotlib 2nd, and QGIS 2.8 3rdthe dmg image QGIS 3.10.
- Linux users should consult the QGIS download page and follow the instructions to download the 23.8 10 release version for your distro.
The QGIS website defaults gives you the option to the most recent release version for downloading (as of July 2016, 2.14 Essen is the most recent release).
download the Latest Release or Long Term Release - this workshop always uses the Long Term Release. 3.10 A Coruna is the current LTR.
