The systems that thrive will be led by managers prepared to operate under new sets of rules. Providers will be responsible for the health of the population they serve and for controlling the cost of services.Management of these organizations will require special skills on the part of the health care professionals.

The program graduates high-quality managers, people with the requisite flexibility to cope with a rapidly changing health care environment and function effectively in a wide range of settings and organizational forms.
