In addition to awarding degrees with honors, the College also recognizes= excellence with the annual Dean=E2=80=99s List. To be eligible, a full-time (minimum 12 credits) matricu= lated student must earn a term grade point average of at least 3.50. = A part-time matriculated student must earn a term grade point average of at= least a 3.50 in two consecutive terms (not including overlapping terms).&n= bsp; P grades and credits are not factored in the calculation.
The policy regarding Latin Honors is as follows:
To be eligible for Latin Honors, students must have completed at least 56 =
credits at Baruch College. The scholastic index includes only the courses t=
aken at Baruch College. There are three levels of Latin Honors:
Magn=
a cum laude shall be granted to those students whose scholast=
ic index in all subjects is at least 3.75
Cum laude shall be granted to those students whose scholastic index in al=
l subjects is at least 3.5
In order for Baruch College second degree students to be eligible for Lati=
n Honors, they must earn at least 56 additional credits towards their new d=
egree plan.
Students who complete Honors Program requirements may be eligible to gra= duate with College Honors. See the Baruch Honors Progr= am.
